The lion’s cubs are humbled and hungry
VERSE:
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” King James Version KJV Bible Bookmark. (PHILIPPIANS 4:19 KJV)
EXPLANATION:
The verse we are going to meditate on today is Philippians 4:19 “My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
There is no perfect human being. Some have defects in the body and some in the soul. For some, there is no peace in the spirit. Grievances and curses have multiplied on earth because of sin. Man lost the prosperity and perfection of the Garden of Eden because of sin.
No matter how many deficiencies there are in the world such as lack of food, lack of knowledge, lack of physical health, the Lord is the one who completes the deficiencies and gives fulfillment and perfection.
The scriptures say, “The lion’s cubs are humbled and hungry; Those who seek the Lord will not lack a good thing.” (Psalm 34:10). In some translations, this verse reads, ‘The strong and the strong will starve because of poverty.’ But the children of God shall be nourished’.
Who invited you? Who conducts you? Who is your shepherd? Isn’t the Lord of Lords who created the heavens? Look to Him. David looks to him and says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I will humble myself.” (Psalm 23:1).
Are you worried about your low income? Immediately after receiving the income, come as a family to God’s presence and pray fervently, ‘Good Shepherd, bless this.’ God, who fed five thousand with five loaves and two fish, will surely feed you. He who fed twenty million Israelites with manna in the wilderness will surely feed you.
When many are in need, instead of looking to the Lord, they focus only on who they can go to for a loan and what item they can take as a pledge. As long as their intention is to borrow, the Lord will commit them to debt. But no man can confidently say, ‘I have the Lord as my shepherd.’ If he decides that no matter how little it is, I will not take a loan, the Lord will continue to do miracles in his life.
Beloved, when you fall short, ask, “Bless the flour and oil of the widow of Zarephath, and bless me.” As you seek Him, He will supply all your needs according to His riches.
PRAYER:
My beloved Father! Thank you for today’s promise. Life’s difficulties and demands wear me down, but now I surrender everything at Your feet. You will replace all my shortcomings with Your riches. Please fulfill all my needs. I pray in Jesus name Good Father, Amen.
