Then she that is mine enemy shall see it and shame shall cover her which said unto me

Then she that is mine enemy shall see it and shame shall cover her which said unto me

Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets. (MICAH 7:10 KJV)

The verse we are going to meditate on today is Micah 7:10 “My adversary who says to me, “Where is the Lord your God,” when she sees it, shame will cover her; my eyes will see her, and she will be trodden down like the mud of the streets.”

When we find ourselves lacking in this worldly life, our enemies mock us. “That’s it, your life is over! You can’t wake up one more day” and make us feel depressed.

In the Bible, when a woman named Anna was childless, her husband’s other wife, Peninnah, spoke to her in such a way that she was tormented.

But did the Lord let her continue to do it? not at all . The reason is that after Anna poured out all her heart to the Lord (1 Samuel 1:15), God’s power was manifested beyond what she wanted and thought. She asked a child. The Lord gave many children (1 Samuel 2:21). Even Beninna, who mocked her, would not have opened her mouth out of shame.

A man who loved the Lord, was doing God’s service and his worldly work with truth and integrity. Some people who were full-time ministers tormented him in many ways by criticizing him, mocking him and demoralizing him.

But he did not reply to their words and looked only at God. Lord, he raised that man in office work too. He filled his ministry with power and gentle gifts.

And the Lord commanded the servant, “Vengeance is mine, do not say anything about them.” So the servant continued to do the Lord’s ministry and office work in peace. The Lord turned everything upside down.

Yes! The Lord will never forsake those who believe in Him, especially those who serve Him. No matter how much the adversary the devil and his men mock, the God of peace will crush Satan under his feet (Romans 16:20).

Instead of you being ashamed, he will put him and his men to shame. Therefore, fear nothing and look to the Lord (Isaiah 61:7).

God of love! Help me not to be afraid of the ridicule of the men of this world, but to look to You from this day, that I may not be ashamed, and that they may be ashamed. I pray in the name of Jesus Good Father, Amen!
