ENGLISH VERSION: Today’s Bible Verse (05.01.2023):
VERSE:
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. (JAMES 4:10 KJV)
EXPLANATION:
Today, we are going to meditate on the promise that the Lord has given us from James 4:10, “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” What a beautiful promise of God!
In big hotels, when you enter through the ground floor and press the lift, you will see the lift coming from some higher floor to the ground floor to take you up to the higher floor that you want to go. You can never go straight to a higher floor. The lift always has to come to the ground floor and then take you up.
This ground floor is where the Lord resides in your heart. When you enter into your heart, it is always the Lord who receives you first before you can go to any other floor. You will always see the ground floor as the most beautiful place in the hotel decorated by grand lights, beautiful flooring and furniture. It is indeed the most beautiful place and it is also the place where the people are received first.
So, likewise, first, you will be received by the Lord in the most beautiful place which is your heart. Yes, the Lord will make your heart beautiful every time. In every situation you face, He will make your heart more and more beautiful. He will beautify your heart through His peace or through faith or through great joy or by filling you with a mighty anointing.
Hence, every time the ground floor (your heart) will be added in beauty and with whatever intentions or mood you walk into that hotel, all the bad and the negative intentions and feelings will be removed and you will enter into the glorious floor. From there, the Lord will add higher floors in your life and build up the hotel.
The Lord will add great things such as great wisdom or great achievements. He will add a beautiful home for the people in your family through your beautiful heart. Each floor will be a blessing given by the Lord. And that is how you are lifted up as you are received on this ground floor which is the foundation. That is how out of the beauty in your heart, your life will be built and lifted up.
PRAYER:
Loving Lord, thank You for Your beautiful promise. Lord, You have said that our house should be built upon Christ, the solid rock. I surrender my heart completely into Your Hands. Make the ground floor of my heart beautiful. Add all the qualities that I need to be strong within. Fill me with Your anointing and beautify my heart with Your peace, joy and the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Lift me up to great heights, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
