ENGLISH VERSION: Today’s Bible Verse (13.04.2023):
VERSE:
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. (HEBREWS 8:12 KJV)
EXPLANATION:
I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, let’s meditate on the promise, “…I will graciously forgive their iniquities and remember their sins and iniquities no more…” (Hebrews 8:12).
When people make a mistake in this world, they keep it in their mind. They are trying to figure out how to cheat and take revenge.
But, O Lord, on the contrary, as a form of love, when a man realizes his faults and comes to Him, He forgives and forgets whatever his crimes may have been, washes him with His blood, cleanses him and gives him new life.
A disobedient bad son disregarded his father’s love, cursed his father as much as he could, and disappeared somewhere.
All the money he had was melted within a few days by the connivance of evil friends. Friends slowly disappeared. He is lonely. “Alas, there is nothing to eat,” he said.
He thought of his father’s love. He immediately wrote a letter to him. I don’t know that “I don’t want to call you ‘father’. But, I realized my mistake and am writing to you. Will you accept me again?”
I will come by train that goes near our house. If you will accept me again, if you will tie a single white flag high on the big tree standing in front of our house, I will immediately get off the train and come home, hoping that you will forgive me and accept me, otherwise I will end my life somehow.
The heart of the father melted after reading the letter. Thinking that “Oh, my son has written that he is coming, that is enough for me”, he tied not only one white flag on that tree, but many white flags all over the tree.
Perhaps he tied a flag and did so out of fear of what would happen to his life if it did not catch his eye. The son’s heart broke when he saw the white flag tied around the tree. Seeing how great his father’s love was, he ran to his father and hugged him.
Beloved, if an ordinary father can have so much love, have we considered how much our divine Father loves us?
PRAYER:
Dear Savior! Today, like that son, I am coming to hide in your arms forgive me . I praise you and pray in the name of Jesus, believing that you will forget my shortcomings and grant me the grace to live forever as your son and daughter. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!
