ஏசாயா: Isaiah : 7:14

14. ஆதலால் ஆண்டவர் தாமே உங்களுக்கு ஒரு அடையாளத்தைக் கொடுப்பார்; இதோ, ஒரு கன்னிகை கர்ப்பவதியாகி ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெறுவாள், அவருக்கு இம்மானுவேல் என்று பேரிடுவாள்.

14.Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
லூக்கா : Luke :1:35

35. தேவதூதன் அவளுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: பரிசுத்த ஆவி உன்மேல் வரும்; உன்னதமானவருடைய பலம் உன்மேல் நிழலிடும்; ஆதலால் உன்னிடத்தில் பிறக்கும் பரிசுத்தமுள்ளது தேவனுடைய குமாரன் என்னப்படும்.

35.And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

18. இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய ஜெநநத்தின் விவரமாவது: அவருடைய தாயாகிய மரியாள் யோசேப்புக்கு நியமிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கையில், அவர்கள் கூடி வருமுன்னே, அவள் பரிசுத்த ஆவியினாலே கர்ப்பவதியானாள் என்று காணப்பட்டது.

18.Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

21. அவள் ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெறுவாள், அவருக்கு இயேசு என்று பேரிடுவாயாக; ஏனெனில் அவர் தமது ஜனங்களின் பாவங்களை நீக்கி அவர்களை இரட்சிப்பார் என்றான்.

21.And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

23. அவன்: இதோ, ஒரு கன்னிகை கர்ப்பவதியாகி ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெறுவாள்; அவருக்கு இம்மானுவேல் என்று பேரிடுவார்கள் என்று சொன்னான். இம்மானுவேல் என்பதற்கு தேவன் நம்மோடிருக்கிறார் என்று அர்த்தமாம்.

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

6. அவ்விடத்திலே அவர்கள் இருக்கையில், அவளுக்குப் பிரசவகாலம் நேரிட்டது.
And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

7. அவள் தன் முதற்பேறான குமாரனைப்பெற்று, சத்திரத்திலே அவர்களுக்கு இடமில்லாதிருந்தபடியினால், பிள்ளையைத் துணிகளில் சுற்றி, முன்னணையிலே கிடத்தினாள்.
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

8. அப்பொழுது அந்த நாட்டிலே மேய்ப்பர்கள் வயல்வெளியில் தங்கி, இராத்திரியிலே தங்கள் மந்தையைக் காத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9. அவ்வேளையில் கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவர்களிடத்தில் வந்து நின்றான், கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை அவர்களைச் சுற்றிலும் பிரகாசித்தது; அவர்கள் மிகவும் பயந்தார்கள்.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10. தேவதூதன் அவர்களை நோக்கி: பயப்படாதிருங்கள்; இதோ, எல்லா ஜனத்துக்கும் மிகுந்த சந்தோஷத்தை உண்டாக்கும் நற்செய்தியை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறேன்.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11. இன்று கர்த்தராகிய கிறிஸ்து என்னும் இரட்சகர் உங்களுக்குத் தாவீதின் ஊரிலே பிறந்திருக்கிறார்.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12. பிள்ளையைத் துணிகளில் சுற்றி, முன்னணையிலே கிடத்தியிருக்கக் காண்பீர்கள்; இதுவே உங்களுக்கு அடையாளம் என்றான்.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13. அந்தக்ஷணமே பரமசேனையின் திரள் அந்தத் தூதனுடனே தோன்றி:
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14. உன்னதத்திலிருக்கிற தேவனுக்கு மகிமையும், பூமியிலே சமாதானமும், மனுஷர்மேல் பிரியமும் உண்டாவதாக என்று சொல்லி, தேவனைத் துதித்தார்கள்.
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
ஏசாயா : Isaiah: 9

6. நமக்கு ஒரு பாலகன் பிறந்தார்; நமக்கு ஒரு குமாரன் கொடுக்கப்பட்டார்; கர்த்தத்துவம் அவர் தோளின்மேலிருக்கும்; அவர் நாமம் அதிசயமானவர், ஆலோசனைக்கர்த்தா, வல்லமையுள்ள தேவன், நித்திய பிதா, சமாதானப்பிரபு என்னப்படும்.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
