ENGLISH VERSION: Today’s Bible Verse (24.04.2023):

VERSE:
The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them. (MICAH 2:13 KJV)

EXPLANATION:
I greet you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Today, we are going to meditate on the promise verse from Micah 2:13, “The One who breaks open will come up before them; They will break out, Pass through the gate, And go out by it; Their king will pass before them, With the Lord at their head.” What a glorious promise verse!

This verse beautifully depicts the wondrous ways in which the Lord broke the captivity of the Israelites and led them on their path to freedom. The Lord loved His people so dearly as mentioned in Psalm 135:4, ‘He chose Jacob for Himself, and Israel for His special treasure’.

But the Israelites suffered a lot under the bondage of the Egyptians. Unable to bear their pain, the Lord promises His people as per Exodus 6:6 & 7: ‘I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.”

But when the Israelites were on their way to freedom, in the wilderness, they had to cross through the Red Sea. They were all perplexed not knowing what to do. .

But according to Exodus 14:21 & 22 the Lord did break forth a way for them “Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.” “The children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.” Thus, the Lord miraculously protected His chosen people, the Israelites.

Beloved, this God will do the same thing for you too. Job 11:10 says, “If He passes by, imprisons, and gathers to judgment, then who can hinder Him?” Also, Job 42:2 declares “I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.”

Yes, when the most powerful Almighty God is with you who can be against you? He will surely break open the way for you so that you can go freely rejoicing in His presence out of your captivity towards your freedom.

PRAYER:
Precious Lord, thank You for Your beautiful promise. Thank You for assuring me that You are breaking every bondage and hindrance over my life and leading me towards freedom. Lord, even now, as I pray, break open the gate of captivity and make every crooked path straight for me. Help me to walk on level ground and inherit the blessings that You have for my life. Great are You Lord and abundant in power. You have a plan and a purpose for my life. Take complete control of my life and lead me on the path of victory. In You alone I take refuge. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
