VERSE:
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. (JOHN 14:13 KJV)
EXPLANATION:
Today’s promise verse is “Whatever you ask in my name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” (John 14:13). I believe that every time you read this scripture, you will be very happy.
We think that we can ask the Lord for anything and He will give it to us. “Rejoice in the Lord; He will grant you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4) We also read in the scriptures.
We must always remember to rejoice in the Lord. He promises to fulfill the desires of our hearts only when we delight in Him.
What does it mean for God to please us? We must enjoy His presence. To feel his love. When we do that, we show Him that we are placing complete control of our lives in His hands.
“Lord, take my life into your charge. May your will be done in my life” we will say. We can say that because we know that God will work everything out for our good. When we have that faith, we don’t think to ask Him. Because He will give us only the best.
A daughter is very fond of dogs since childhood. She wanted to adopt a golden retriever. When she asked her parents, they found it very difficult to take care of a pet. A golden retriever’s hair will shed everywhere. They refused to buy it for her saying it was too difficult to maintain. Most of the time the daughter was in school or college so she couldn’t buy and raise a golden retriever. But after the daughter got married her husband bought it for her. It’s just a small wish. But God also gave that daughter at the right time.
In Ecclesiastes 3:11, the Bible says, “He hath made everything fair in its season;…” So when we leave everything in God’s hands, God will do the right thing at the right time.
So that doesn’t mean we should stop asking Him. The Lord wants to talk to you too. He wants to have close union with you. So you can ask him anything you want. He is ready to listen. He will give the best in your life. Trust this word. Thank God.
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus! I believe that you will fulfill everything in my life. Whether it’s a small choice or a life-changing decision, I trust that You will give me only the best. Times are in your hands. You make them beautiful. I commit my life into your hands. May you perform miracles. I pray in Jesus name Good Father, Amen.
