Exodus “,commonly talks about a mass departure of people but if we go deep than its the departure of Israelites from Egypt breaking out the slavery boundries as per the GOD promise(Book of EXODUS 6: 6 ..)..Therefore, say to the Israelites: `I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God.
This song is all about how those innocent Israelites had felt when they were actually out of troublesome situation and what was their level of happiness of geting freedom from slavery ,,,how much were thankful and excited to received covenant or agreement with GOD throughout the journey to the promise land i.e Canan under his Grace …
To sum up its every words are trying to elaborate the actual feeling of Israelites people …praising and being thankful towards lord for his great grace and abundant love through the song.
