The Lord was mindful of the appointed time and the appointed time

VERSE:
And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. (LUKE 22:14 KJV)

EXPLANATION:
I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, let’s meditate on the verse, “When the time came, he and the twelve apostles were with him” (Luke 22:14).

The Lord was mindful of the appointed time and the appointed time. You must not forget that He yielded to the Father’s voice and waited for the Father’s time. His eyes were waiting for the Father’s time. He was waiting for the right time to be with his disciples. The scriptures say that when that time came, he was with the disciples.

Beloved, commit yourself to knowing the times and the times. The Lord will lift you up in due time. He will help you in times of need. He will complete everything perfectly in its time.

The psalmist says that the Lord gives food in his time (Psalm 104:27), and the Lord does justice in his time (Psalm 119:126). We read in Luke 12:12 that he will teach you what to say at the right time. Will you wait at God’s feet to help you when the Lord is ready? Have you been waiting for the time to help?

Once a world famous devotee was invited to dine with the queen. He had to reach the place about 45 minutes before the appointed time to attend the party.

Beloved, are you going at the right time to meet the King of Kings? Do you set aside specific times of prayer to talk with Him? Many people who are in the habit of going to the office on time, show indifference when they come to the temple. They are careful to arrive late and leave early.

Daniel prayed to God three times while the governors, nobles and leaders of Babylon were consulting against Daniel. Under no circumstances did Daniel miss the opportunity to meet God.

Similarly, Esther waited for the time to plead with God and to meet the king. She fasted and prayed day and night for three days. When her turn finally came she took full advantage of it. As a result she got an indelible place in the scriptures.

PRAYER:
God of love ! As you wish I commit myself to knowing the time and place. I believe that You will lift me up in time. I believe that You will complete everything in my life in its proper time. Teach me what to say at the right time. May I always rejoice in Your love, knowing that You will send me every blessing in due time. I pray in Jesus name Good Father, Amen!
