ENGLISH VERSION: Today’s Bible Verse (12.11.2022):
VERSE:
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. (PSALM 18:35 KJV)
EXPLANATION:
God is ready to pour down blessings, which you cannot hold. He will send you showers of blessings. What a great joy! Jesus loves you.
Let us meditate on today’s promise found in Psalm 18:35. The scripture says, “You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.” The promise says, “you give me your shield of victory.”
In another translation, it says shield of salvation. Why do you need a shield? It is because the wicked satan throws fiery darts against you to destroy you. He is also throwing deceptive darts against you to take over your soul and turn your attention to him. That is why God gives a shield of victory and this is a shield around you.
This shield of salvation was earned on the cross by Jesus. It is called the shield of the blood of Jesus, which speaks good things against the wickedness that comes to destroy you. Hebrews 12:24 says “ to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.”
The devil is a liar and he is the father of lies. He always says God doesn’t care for you and God doesn’t love you. He makes you understand many times the powers of the people of the world is much greater than the power of God and sometimes, he even makes you lose your soul by not waiting for God and not trusting in God’s Love.
Yes! that is why The Lord himself has given you a shield of salvation and The Holy Spirit speaks good things about the blood of Jesus Christ, which brings the good things in your life and our souls are protected.
In Psalm 5:12, the Bible says “For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.” God’s favor comes to you and this is called “Karunya.” In the Tamil Bible, it is called Karunya. Your Karunya will make me great Lord.
Zechariah 9:17 says, “For how great is its goodness And how great its beauty! Grain shall make the young men thrive, And new wine the young women.” May God give you this grace.
PRAYER:
Father God !
Protect me. Be a shield of salvation, a shield of victory around me. Let me have all the goodness in life. Let go of the weapons that the devil creates against me. May you always do great things for me. Bless me. In Jesus name, I ask. Amen.
