Bible Message for Church – God’s Greatest Gift

Bible Message for Church – God’s Greatest Gift Jesus Christ

Opening Thought

Good morning, Church!
Today, let’s take a few minutes to think about the most precious gift we could ever receive — the gift of Jesus Christ. We often look for happiness in money, success, or people, but true joy comes only when we know God’s love through Jesus.

Bible Verse

John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

This verse is one of the most beautiful messages in the Bible. It tells us everything we need to know about God’s love.

Main Message

1. God’s Love Is for Everyone

God didn’t send Jesus only for a few people or one nation. The verse says, “God so loved the world.” That means His love is for all of us — rich or poor, young or old, from every language and background.
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the angels said, “Good news for all people.” His love has no limits.

2. Jesus Came to Save Us

We all make mistakes. We all have sinned and fallen short of God’s standard. But God did not leave us in darkness. He sent Jesus to take our place, to forgive our sins, and to give us a new life.

When Jesus died on the cross and rose again, He broke the power of sin and death. Now, anyone who believes in Him can have eternal life — a life full of peace, purpose, and hope.

3. God’s Gift Must Be Received

Imagine someone gives you a beautiful gift, but you never open it. That gift would be wasted! In the same way, Jesus is God’s gift to us, but we must receive Him in our hearts.
We do that by believing in Him, trusting His word, and following His example of love and truth.

4. We Must Share This Good News

The shepherds who heard about Jesus’ birth did not keep it to themselves. They ran and told everyone what they had seen!
As followers of Christ, we too should share the good news of Jesus — through our words, our kindness, and our lives.
Even a simple smile, a prayer, or a kind act can show someone that God loves them.

A Short Story to Remember

Once there was a little boy who wanted to give a gift to Jesus on Christmas. He had no money, so he prayed and asked, “Lord, what can I give You?”
That night, he felt a voice in his heart say, “Give Me your heart.”
The boy smiled and said, “Jesus, my heart belongs to You.”

That’s exactly what God wants from each of us — not gold or silver, but a sincere heart that loves Him.

How Can We Respond Today?

  • Thank God for His love and mercy.

  • Trust Jesus as your Saviour and friend.

  • Follow His teachings in your daily life.

  • Share His love with others around you.

Closing Bible Verse

Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Jesus is God’s greatest gift. Let’s not only celebrate His birth or His miracles, but also live every day for Him.

Closing Prayer

“Dear Lord, thank You for loving us so much that You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, to save us. Help us to live truthfully, love others, and share Your message wherever we go. Fill our hearts with peace and joy, just like the shepherds on that first Christmas night. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.”
