Wafeek Samuel Wahby وفـيـق صمـوئـيـل وهـبـى -ترانيم مسيحية عربية -مجداُلله- Arabic Christian Songs

In Arabic, “Mag-Dan” means “Glory”, “LeLL” means “to” and “Laah” or “Laahee” means “God!”

This original Arabic Christian song is composed of only these 2 words “ مجداُ لله” (in Arabic the “to” is attached to “God”, forming one word!) These two words are set to a catchy tune, simply praising God! The song is largely based on excerpts from Psalm 29, A Psalm of David.

Interestingly, King David starts exhorting people to “ascribe to the LORD (give the LORD) the glory due His name,” but ends the psalm by stating that it is in fact “The LORD (is the One who) gives His people strength; the LORD blesses His people with peace!”

King David says: Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic. And in His temple all cry, “Glory!” The LORD is enthroned as King forever. The LORD gives His people strength; the LORD blesses His people with peace.

Blessed are those who discover and accept “the Glory of the Lord!” into their hearts and minds. Only then, God’s Glory will shine on their own lives! The bright side of the moon is the only side that receives and reflects the light from the sun!

اسْجُدُوا لِلرَّبِّ فِي زِينَةٍ مُقَدَّسَةٍ
صَوْتُ الرَّبِّ بِالْقُوَّةِ
صَوْتُ الرَّبِّ بِالْجَلاَلِ
وَفِي هَيْكَلِهِ ..
الْكُلُّ قَائِلٌ : « مَجْدٌ »
وَيَجْلِسُ الرَّبُّ .. مَلِكًا إِلَى الأَبَد
الرَّبُّ يُعْطِي عِزًّا لِشَعْبِهِ
الرَّبُّ يُبَارِكُ شَعْبَهُ بِالسَّلاَمِ
