ENGLISH VERSION: Today’s Bible Verse (27.06.2022):
VERSE:
…I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury. (ZECHARIAH 8:2 KJV)
EXPLANATION:
Today’s promise is taken from Zechariah 8:2. The Lord Almighty says: “I am very jealous for Zion; I am burning with jealousy for her.” Here jealousy is not portrayed in the wrong sense. Here the Lord owns you as Zion, the place of His dwelling. He desires Zion for Himself and Himself alone. He will not give Zion away to anybody.
What is Zion? The Bible says in Psalm 132:13 “For the LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling.” Yes, it is the place which God has chosen, a place which God desires to dwell in.
Where does God dwell? The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 3:16, “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?”
Beloved, your body is the temple of God. God lives in your heart. He says that He would not give your soul to anybody else and it is His dwelling place. Do you see how much God values you and your heart? He values you as the temple of God! Do you follow the Lord with all sincerity and righteousness? Do you care for your soul and your body like it is God’s dwelling place? If not, begin to do it from today my friend.
When you are God’s dwelling place, He makes you overflow with prosperity according to Zechariah 1:17. He also comforts your heart; because it is His dwelling place, it has to be full of comfort and peace. When God is there in your heart, you will experience abundant prosperity and peace. May God give you this blessing and make you His dwelling place.
Yes, you are God’s dwelling place and He is jealous for you. According to Deuteronomy 33:3, the Bible says “The Lord surely loves his people and they are taught by Him.” May you be God’s dwelling place and may God lead you to His place of great blessing.
PRAYER:
My loving Heavenly Father, Thank You for today’s promise. Lord, I invite You into my heart to make it Your dwelling place. Help me to keep myself holy that You will dwell in my heart. Lead me according to Your will and help me inherit Your blessings. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
